Welcome to staytunedwithjen. I'm a reporter and anchor from Chicago who got sick and tired of the "It bleeds, It leads" mentality that ran the news business, so I walked out on my gig with a network in Chicago to start my own production company. Now I spend my time telling stories that inspire me.

Whether I'm reporting about recipes or a vineyard in Napa Valley, my goal in life is to enjoy my job. I've even had some visitors donate funds to help me produce more stories for this site.

So send me an email. Read my blog. Watch some videos. Read my book. And always remember: If you wake up every day miserable and tired- you aren't fulfilling your life's purpose. When you begin to follow your dreams, everything else will fall into place...

Wiggleworms

Does music help infants develop? Absolutely! I took my son to a Wiggleworms class to see if it would help him socialize with other babies and was thrilled when he showed an interest in singing, dancing and moving to the music. Music and babies are a match made in heaven. It's never too early to start your baby in a Wiggleworms class.

I love this show

So after two weeks of doing my play- and having people tell me how much they are enjoying it, I feel complete relief.  Roger Ebert came on Sunday- as did Richard Roeper.  The crowd was loud and enthusiastic all weekend.  I am so sad that I took such a long break from theater- because I forgot just how much fun it all can be.

So my show opened last week- we had a sold out show opening night, and good sized crowds over the weekend.  It feels so good to be able to walk through my fears- and speak my truth. 

Yesterday- we had a much smaller house- but they were very receptive.  Time Out Chicago wrote a review.  I'm told they hate everything- so to get 4 out of 6 stars is supposed to make me happy.  I obviously have been out of this game for a while- but here's the link:

Sorry I've been MIA- I've been reheasing for my one woman show- which opens on Thursday night (see my opening page for details..)

It's so great to be back in the theater community and to be working with such incredible folks like the Route 66 Theater company.
